Enjoy the Good Life . . . NOW!

Did you know that you don't have to wait to get to heaven to enjoy a great life? Yes, it's true. God wants you to be excel and be prosperous right this very minute.

3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.

We have mistakenly limited prosperity to just wealth. But it is much more than just having enough money to meet all of your needs. It's a lifestyle that includes divine health, peace, joy, and happiness. The term "shalom" is used throughout the Bible and means nothing missing, nothing broken. It is complete wholeness for your spirit, soul and body. This is true Biblical prosperity.

I'm sure everyone would agree that it wouldn't be a very enjoyable life if you were a millionaire but dying of a terminal illness. That's why when God talks about prosperity it is more than just financial abundance. It's a way of life that reflects the hand of God on everything around you. The "fruit" or result of having the hand of God on your life will be fruits such as health, wealth, peace, joy, etc. We often refer to those fruits as blessings. That's with a little "b". But, they are actually the result of The Blessing. That's singular with a capital "B." The Blessing is the root to the fruit.

If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, The Blessing of Abraham is on you and will cause you to have great favor, promotions, restoration in your relationships, supernatural increase, divine health, and overflowing joy. When that Blessing is working in your life, you will live in complete wholeness with nothing missing and nothing broken. When you have that, you are living John 10:10 where Jesus said He came to that we might have and enjoy life, in abundance, to the full, until it overflows. We can then use the overflow to be a blessing in someone else's life!

Have you ever heard the little analogy that says give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime? Well, I believe that holds true here. Having someone give you some fruit (like maybe a house) would be nice. But, I want to learn how to fish. I want to get the root to fruit so that I can enjoy a lifestyle of prosperity. I want the root so that I can have extra fruit to give away and be a blessing to others!

Hope is the blueprint to your future!

Did you ever notice that no one hopes that something bad will happen? Hope is always associated with good.

We hope to get a good grade on a test or hope that we get the job promotion. We hope that we have money to pay off the mortgage or hope to be healed. The Bible brings hope to people because it is the good news that tells us the good things God has done for us. This is why Romans 15:13 tells us that God is the author of hope.

Now I'm sure you've heard people say they are "hoping and a praying" that something will happen. Unfortunately, in these cases, hope is defined as a wish that may or may not come true. It isn't based on any facts or a guarantee. The true meaning of hope is favorable and confident expectation. It is . . .READ MORE.

Seeing is NOT True Believing

Are you limited by the "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality? I purposely said limited because if God is going to do the impossible in your life, you need to believe past what you can see. Having faith in what you see is belief based on experience. True, Biblical faith is believing when you can't see it. READ MORE.

You Don't Have to Do It All Yourself

I think it's human nature to feel like we have to do everything and be everything to everyone. We learn at an early age that success alone isn't good enough. We must do more than just succeed. We must go above and beyond and become "overachievers." Later, our employers reward those who neglect family, health and happiness in exchange for their jobs. This only reinforces the behavior more. Unfortunately, what started with good intentions becomes an unbalanced lifestyle that is focused on the praise of man rather than God. Read more.

Do My Words Really Matter?

We all know that you can't plant flower seeds and expect to see corn growing in July. You can only reap what you sow. The Kingdom of God is based on this same principle of seedtime and harvest. Our words are seeds and they will produce a harvest...However it's up to us to determine what kind of harvest we get. READ MORE!

Take The Deal. Don't Blame the Judge.

Have you ever heard someone blame God for something bad that happened in their life?

People often have difficulties understanding how a God who is Love could let a person go to hell. However, people often miss the role that their own free will plays in the sentence. READ MORE!.

Winning the Good Fight of Faith

I've always enjoyed taking a nap on a warm summer afternoon when the fresh breeze is blowing through the windows. There's something so peaceful about that to me. This past Sunday I was sitting in my tattered rocking chair by our big front window enjoying one of those afternoons. I started focusing in on how peaceful it was. No stress. Just deep breaths of fresh air. Isn't that how life with God should be? READ MORE!

Blessed are the Meek not the Weak

I believe that we've mistakenly assumed that meek meant weak and missed the true meaning of the word. Meekness is a quiet confidence and assurance in God's Word. When you have complete confidence that God will do what He said, you don't feel compelled to defend, protect or promote yourself. You have confidence in the authority that God gave to you and you know that you have all of heaven's resources at your disposal if you need them. There's no need to get uptight or anxious because you know how it's going to end. You win. God's got your back. You can then simply rest in His promises. READ MORE!
