Our Background

I have been on an exciting journey of learning how to enjoy life in abundance, to the full, until it overflows . . . just like God intended for each of us to live. (John 10:10)

A few years ago I felt like I was bursting at the seams with all that God had been teaching me and I wanted a way to share it with others. I had a basic introduction on how to read HTML code so I decided to try to build a website where I could publish what I had been learning. At that time I didn't realize there were free tools out there that made website building easier. As a result, I did it the hard way. I found templates on the internet and spent months and months filling in the code to build my site from the ground up. What you see today is the result of a few years of work, a lot of trial and error, and several different website designs. Thankfully, God was right there teaching me as I went because I really was venturing into a technical world I knew nothing about.

It's easy to wonder whether all of the time and effort is really worth it. Especially because I have a full time job outside the home so I do all of this in my spare time. However, it's just around that time when I start to wonder that God sends someone my way to encourage me. I have received some wonderful emails from people around the world who found my site and God was able to reach them through it. It is amazing that God would use this little website to somehow encourage someone else. What an honor and a blessing!

So to answer the question I hear from time to time. No, there is no big ministry behind this website. It's just a woman who enjoys sharing what she has learned in hopes that it will help someone else.

God is so loving, merciful, patient, generous, caring, thoughtful, and forgiving. I hope you'll join me on the journey of getting to know Him better and fully learning what Jesus' death truly meant for you and me!

I began this website because I wanted to share what God had been teaching me. I place ads on the site as a way to subsidize the time I put into maintaining the content and the cost of the domain, hosting, and other technical support expenses.

Although I had never thought of this as being a ministry, I have had some people ask about contributing as such. Overflow Living is set up as a sole proprietorship and not a non-profit organization. Therefore, I cannot offer tax deductible donation opportunities.
