Have you ever listened to a teaching that came at just the right time? While it may contain the same points that you've already heard, it never hurts to hear them again.
I recently listened to a broadcast by Joel Osteen titled "It's the Heart that Matters." He shared so many great points that I wanted to pass along my notes.
God doesn't bless us for perfect performance.
He looks for a perfect heart...a desire to please Him.
It's who we are, not what we do.
Accept yourself while you're in the process of changing. It doesn't do any good beating yourself up for not being where you think you should be.
God changes us from glory to glory. Enjoy this level of glory while you wait for God to take you to the next level.
There will always be something that isn't right. We are being transformed by God so we aren't perfect yet. (Our behavior isn't perfect.)
You are not a finished product. Accept yourself were you're at. Thank God for the grace to overcome, change my behavior, etc.
Keep your heart towards God and your behavior will catch up.
God does not expect us to be perfect but be willing to change.
